The second stop of the RIGHT TO HOUSING conference was held on December 11, 2023, at the NOI Techpark in Bolzano, Italy, organized by the member entities of the New European Bauhaus of the Mountains and 39100 BZ+ (Autonomous Province of Bolzano, together with Unibz, the Casa Clima Energy Agency, Eurac Research, on the other Restart Bz, Cooperdolomiti, IPES, INU, the ACLI, the Architecture Foundation, ARCI, AIP2ITALIA, CoopAgenda 2030, LAB: BZ and Centro Casa) in collaboration with IQD and Andrea Boschetti.

Tackling the issue of the right to housing for all, in the light of the fragile and inconsistent urban planning policies active in cities in this sense, but still believing in the principles and democratic values of this profession, proves necessary, however divisive. This emergency was addressed by Andrea Boschetti, architect, founder of Metrogramma and Guest Architect of IQD 72, together with Alessandro Maggioni, president of Confcooperative Habitat.

The conference in Bolzano, moderated by Renato Sette and Uwe Staffler, made an all-round reflection on the topic of housing and on interventions and needs on a European level, with a focus on the topics of housing and the Right to Housing. Affordable housing, flexible housing, sustainable housing: new social structures, new services, new design and construction methods define the new housing paradigms.
