The governance of Fondazione Triennale Milano enters a new phase with the appointment of a new Board of Directors, which will guide the institution throughout its next term. The new leadership structure confirms Triennale’s strategic role within both the Italian and international cultural landscape, strengthening the connection between culture, design, architecture, business and research.

During the first meeting of the newly appointed Board, Vincenzo Trione was elected President of the Foundation, while Maria Porro was appointed Vice President. Carla Morogallo was confirmed as Director General, a role in which she has supported the growth and development of the Milan-based institution over recent years.

The composition of the Board reflects the diversity of the institutions supporting the Foundation and a commitment to bringing together expertise from the fields of culture, academia, professional practice and industry. The new governing body will be responsible for defining Triennale’s development strategies at a particularly significant moment for Italy’s cultural and creative sectors, marked by increasing attention to innovation, sustainability and internationalisation.

“I take on this role with a strong sense of responsibility and a determination to continue the path of openness and dialogue that has made Triennale Milano an international point of reference. Our goal will be to further strengthen its role as a place for research, experimentation and exchange between cultures and disciplines,” said President Vincenzo Trione.

The leadership transition follows the long presidency of Stefano Boeri, during which Triennale Milano consolidated its international standing through exhibitions, festivals, research programmes and the 23rd International Exhibition. The new Board therefore inherits a period of significant growth and visibility, with the aim of further reinforcing Triennale’s role as a platform for discussion and reflection on contemporary design and culture.

Among the priorities for the new term are strengthening relationships with the business and academic communities, expanding exhibition and research activities, and enhancing international partnerships, in line with the Foundation’s mission to promote the culture of design, architecture and contemporary arts.

The appointment of the new Board of Directors marks the beginning of a new chapter that seeks to balance continuity and innovation, enhancing the institution’s cultural heritage while reinforcing its ability to interpret and respond to the transformations of contemporary society.
