CASALGRANDE PADANA GRAND PRIX: THE INTERNATIONAL JURY FOR THE 13TH EDITION HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

In May, the selection of finalist projects for the triennial competition dedicated to excellence in contemporary architecture

With more than thirty years of history, the Casalgrande Padana Grand Prix confirms its position as one of the longest-running and most prestigious international competitions dedicated to architecture and design. It offers a current and cross-sectoral perspective on the most innovative applications of porcelain stoneware across various building types

While a waiting the announcement of the winners, scheduled for autumn, the international jury of the 13th edition has been officially appointed and will convene in May at the company headquarters to select the finalist projects. The jury will be chaired by Franco Manfredini, President of Casalgrande Padana, and composed of a panel of renowned experts:

  • Simon Keane-Cowell, Editor-in-Chief of Architonic
  • Tarik Abd El Gaber, architect and Deputy Editor of D’Architectures magazine
  • Alessandra Ferrari, architect appointed by the National Council of Architects in Rome
  • Sebastian Redecke, architect and Editor of Bauwelt magazine
  • Alessandro Valenti, architect and Editor of ABOUT and elledecor.it (Hearst)
  • Matteo Vercelloni, architect and editorial consultant for INTERNI Magazine

Since its foundation in 1990, the Grand Prix has aimed to foster a virtuous dialogue between industry and design, promoting a culture of innovation through the creative use of Casalgrande Padana ceramic materials. The flexibility, extensive range, and constant evolution of the company’s porcelain stoneware collections have contributed to the growing interest in the competition, which now boasts global participation, with over 1,200 design professionals and 1,700 submitted works across past editions.

The competition is open to all professionals–architects, designers, engineers, and technical studios who have used Casalgrande Padana materials in residential, public, commercial, or industrial contexts: from flooring to ventilated façades, from spas to swimming pools, from small-scale projects to large infrastructures. The winning projects will be featured in the Creative Book, the official publication of the competition, printed in 60,000 copies, bearing witness to the company’s vision of building a strong link between design culture and manufacturing excellence.
