Founded in 2022 as a division of Unimetal, a company of the Idrocentro Group, Unimetal-pods has quickly established itself as a leading Italian company in architectural and plant design, specializing in the customized production of prefabricated bathroom pods and monobloc boxes. Building on Unimetal’s extensive experience in metal roofing systems and façade cladding, the division has successfully transferred its technical expertise and ongoing research into innovation to create a highly advanced product that is flexible, efficient, and adaptable to a wide range of applications: from modern hotels to healthcare and educational facilities, as well as gyms, shopping centers, student housing, and correctional institutions. Unimetal-pods stands out for its ability to combine tailor-made design, construction quality, and process optimization.

Each pod is designed and customized both architecturally and technically by the company’s in-house design team, in full compliance with the client’s project, current regulations, and performance standards. The structure, made of cold-bent steel with a cement base and metal and plasterboard walls, achieves an ideal balance of lightness, strength, and versatility. This ensures safe transport and rapid installation within the host building, without affecting the interior finishes, which are already fully completed upon delivery.

The bathroom pods are available in two distinct construction systems: Unimetal-Pod and Unimetal-Kit. The former are assembled in-house and delivered to the construction site complete with plumbing and electrical systems, with centralized connections for integration into the building’s systems. Unimetal-Kits, on the other hand, are prefabricated bathroom pods, pre-assembled in-house and delivered to the construction site in individual components, in a single assembly kit. This solution is particularly suitable for renovations or to reduce transport costs, while ensuring attention to detail and the highest quality in fittings and materials. Each pod is a one-of-a-kind creation, designed to meet the client’s specific functional and aesthetic requirements. Interior finishes can be selected from a wide range of materials and colours, allowing for total freedom of design and stylistic coherence with the architectural language of the building. Thanks to an industrialized yet artisanally refined production process, Unimetal-pods redefines the concept of the prefabricated bathroom, transforming it into an evolved architectural component.
